SUNDAYS AFTER WORSHIP
NOW THROUGH OCTOBER 15
The ELCA has released a study on “Civic Life and Faith.” It’s an invitation to join a conversation about religious liberty, the proper role of the church in relation to government, and many other critical topics. This study is part of the process toward developing an ELCA social statement on topics related to civic life and faith, including how we address controversial topics, the objectives of democracy in the US, and what faith has to do with civic life to begin with. Our conversation and responses to the study will help the task force as it drafts that statement. This study is a nice complement to All Saints’ value of social and intellectual wellbeing and an opportunity to explore how we navigate being both a Christian and citizen.
We meet Sundays following the worship service, now through October 15. You're welcome to join at any time, even if you can't make all 6 weeks. If you’re interested in participating, please fill out the form below. I look forward to being part of this and having open, respectful and honest conversation on this relevant and important topic.
