  • dialogues on race

We’re starting some groups over the next couple of weeks using a faith-based resource called Dialogues On: Race. We want to create some open space to talk about this timely and relevant issue, providing an opportunity for learning and conversation so we can grow together toward greater understanding of this complex topic. Consider participating, even if (and especially if) this isn’t a topic you’ve been comfortable discussing in the past. This is precisely why we’re offering these groups. Additional groups may be offered in the fall.

Our All Saints vision calls for making a Relevant Impact by having conversations that matter. This is certainly one of those kinds of conversations. We will extend space and grace to one another as we explore this. By doing so we hope to make a #relevantimpact in our own lives and in our community. Churches should be a place where transformation happens!

Groups are being offered on Wednesdays (beginning July 15) and Thursdays (beginning July 9) with times in the afternoon or early evening depending on participant availability. Email the church office to share your interest and availability. Pastor Jon will lead the Thursday sessions, and Anne and Ken Englert will lead on Wednesdays. An additional group led by Beth Young has already filled for Friday. Groups may be available on additional days and times based on interest.

The resource, Dialogues On: Race, is from Augsburg Fortress/Sparkhouse publishers. The cost for a learner book and to participate is $12.

All Saints has a strong music tradition and has multiple ways to participate. Music groups are a great chance to share music and make friends.
